Half-Time Rosie is a half-time funk rock I improvised, track after track, most of the time at first take.
I released the song in three days, and each day I released a short video of the part I recorded that day. It’s one of the approaches I have to creating a new song.
I could use each of the shorts to create the official video, amended with copyright-free content.
Half-Time Rosie features a unique lineup
4-string electric mandolin
Alto guitar tuned in fifth from C to B
Barytone guitar tuned in fifth from F to E
Infra-bass 5-strings: F.C.G.D.A.
This unique lineup creates a different overall outcome of the music, delivering a different harmony sound.
The strings spacing in parallel fifth forces me to play differently.
Second Virtual Band – Hervé Senni Fifth Dimension
Hervé Senni Fifth Dimension is my second virtual band after The Hate Team. As explained, it features only instruments tuned in fifth. On top of the ones listed above who represent the band’s core, I employ an arsenal of mandolines, Irish Bouzouki, custom mandola, and mandocello.
Half-Time Rosie is the last release of the oncoming album No Guitar Allowed Volume N°2. Here is a link to the playlist of all my work with that virtual band.
The playlist also features the album No Guitar Allowed Vol 1, released in 2017. Listen to the playlist; it features 9 songs for over 35 minutes of original music.
