My song EZfunk from the album Strat Me Up (Remastered) is going wild on VEVO.
Strat Me Up (Remastered) is an “old” album republished in 2017 and initially published in 2014.
Currently, EZfunk owns 116K views and 100s viewers per hour!
I recorded that song in my home studio in France, probably around 2014. It’s a mid-tempo funk rock song with an arpeggio-like groove.

No One Online is my first song featuring the fantastic plugin Vocaloid.
Vocaloid, as its name implies, is a vocal program that allows the production of vocal parts. It programs itself in midi and works like a charm. Why is this plugin not more popular than it is?
I used it to render the multipart vocal of the song. It’s a two-part harmony.
The song is driven by a busy bassline performed on my Ubass. It sounds like a cross between a double bass and a tuba.
Finally, the guitar is tuned in minor third: C Eb Gb A C Eb—the difference in tuning forces me to play differently.
The solo is performed on my electric custom ukulele, which I used in the famous song “Jumping Fleas.” The solo has two parts: the first part uses a lead sound, while the second part uses a synth sound via my Boss SY1000.

Dirty Race
Dirty Race combines dance grooves with close-to-the-edge guitar parts.
The guitar is tuned in major third: A C# F A C# F, offering a different approach to playing.
I used dance drum grooves, sequencers, and string ensemble parts to support my wild playing.
I also employed a 12-string guitar and a clavinet as rhythm parts in the song’s opening.
I recorded the entire thing fast to preserve a raw and “live” approach to the ensemble.
>>> Dirty Race<<<

“The groove between breasts.
Dude! Look at that chick’s intraboobular groove!!!
Dude, that chick is so squeezed- she has no intraboobular groove, where do you think the sweat beads go?”
Intraboobular Groove is based on a sequence to which I added a synth/strings and a guitar track.
Tuning in 4th
This is a premiere for me. I tuned the guitar in perfect fourth. E A D G C F
It changes the approach radically. It’s perfect to play in fourth and go crazy with the pentatonic scale.
The name of the song comes from my favorite site, Urban Dictionary. Mostly every time I release a new song I find the title there. It has nothing to do with the music, but I like it because I’m a titman.

Seven In Fifth is a song in 7/4 with instruments tuned in fifth. lol
I started this song over a year ago. I finished it last week. A minor accident to my left hand, and personal problems took me 1 year away from music.
you can enjoy the song on YouTube or all the streaming platforms out there.

I want to announce the launch of my new song Fifth Coming on Spotify and every major streaming platform! The instrumental rock song features an Irish bouzouki, a four-string electric mandolin, and guitars and bass tuned in fifth. It’s a unique blend of Celtic and metal influences that will blow your mind!
♪♪ Fifth Coming ♪♪
Fifth Coming is inspired by a shot I found at the bar. It’s mixed with:
- – One part Jose Cuervo Especial Gold Tequila
- – One part Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- – One part Johnnie Walker Scotch Whiskey
- – One part Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey
- – One part Jameson Whiskey
These five guys are sure to bring about the drunk of all drunkenness. The unholiest of all hangovers. Not for the faint of heart of your free will or the perfect surprise for that new 21-year-old friend.
The song captures the intensity and madness of this drink with fast-paced riffs, catchy riff-like melodies, and explosive groovy solos.
I wanted to create a song that captures the spirit of this drink, the thrill of adventure, and the joy of music. I used some unconventional instruments to give it a unique sound and vibe.
♪♪ Fifth Coming ♪♪
- The Irish bouzouki is a traditional stringed instrument with a bright and resonant tone. It is tuned like a mandolin an octave lower.
- The four-string electric mandolin is a modern instrument with a crisp and punchy sound. I used it to play the lead. It sounds like an electric guitar two octaves higher. The single strings nullify the mandolin sound.
- The guitars and bass tuned in fifth create a powerful, heavy sound that drives the song forward.
Fifth Coming celebrates life, music, and fun. It’s a song with a steady infectious fast groove at 160 BPM that will make you want to dance. It’s a song that will make you feel alive. You can only listen to this song by tapping your feet and enjoying the speedy groove.
I hope you enjoy Fifth Coming as much as I enjoyed making it. Please stream, share, and support my song on your favorite platform. And if you’re feeling adventurous, try the shot yourself. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Half-Time Rosie
Half-Time Rosie is a half-time funk rock I improvised, track after track, most of the time at first take.

- 4-string electric mandolin
- Alto guitar tuned in fifth from C to B
- Barytone guitar tuned in fifth from F to E
- Infra-bass 5-strings: F.C.G.D.A.
This unique lineup creates a different overall outcome of the music, delivering a different harmony sound.
The strings spacing in parallel fifth forces me to play differently.
Second Virtual Band – Hervé Senni Fifth Dimension
Hervé Senni Fifth Dimension is my second virtual band after The Hate Team. As explained, it features only instruments tuned in fifth. On top of the ones listed above who represent the band’s core, I employ an arsenal of mandolines, Irish Bouzouki, custom mandola, and mandocello.

The Inspiration and Musical Instruments Behind Half-Time Rosie
Half-Time Rosie is a groovy and energetic song based on a riff played on my custom Stratocaster tuned in fifths, the new tuning standard. I also used my custom Telecaster and my 4-string electric mandolin to share the theme, and the 5-string bass tuned in fifths for the first time.
Instruments:
- Electric 4 strings mandolin
- 3/4 Custom telecaster tuned in fifth: C.G.D.A.E.B.
- Custom Stratocaster tuned in fifth: F.C.G.D.A.E.
- Ultra-bass 5-strings: F.C.G.D.A.
The Energy and Rawness of “Half-Time Rosie
I improvised each track while playing with the drum track and improvised more than necessary. The idea was to blend and prioritize the energy of the moment. It’s as raw as possible, and I played it live, alone in my studio, with the same energy as if I were playing in front of a crowd.

The expression “Cat Tax”

The expression “Cat Tax” refers to a humorous internet meme or phenomenon that involves a person sharing a picture, video, or story about their cat in an online forum, chat, or social media platform and another person requesting or demanding to see more pictures or details about the cat, as a “tax” for enjoying or commenting on the original content.
The term “Cat Tax” is often used as a playful way to acknowledge the ubiquitous presence of cats in online communities, as well as the natural curiosity and love that people have for felines.
For example, suppose someone posts a cute picture of their cat in a Reddit thread or Facebook group. In that case, another user might comment, “I love your cat! Cat Tax, please!” or “Show us more of your cat or pay the Cat Tax!” to encourage the original poster to share more content about their pet.

Overall, the expression “Cat Tax” is a lighthearted and enjoyable way for people to interact and connect over their shared love for cats while acknowledging internet culture’s inherent humor and whimsy.
I named that joke my song because I am a cat lover.
About the Hate Team Project
“Cat Tax” is the fourth single from the Hate Team’s upcoming album. I am pleased with how “Cat Tax” turned out, and I think it’s a great representation of the Hate Team’s creative vision. It’s a catchy, upbeat track showcasing the unique sound of combining different instruments with identical tuning.
The Hate Team is a virtual band that regroups different instruments from various ranges and identical tuning, all tuned in A. Like a guitar at the fifth fret, with different octaves. It was created to explore new sounds and push the boundaries of music by experimenting with ranges.
Tenor Ukulele
- G.C.E.A
Alto Guitar
- A.D.G.C.E.A
Baritone Guitar
- A.D.G.C.E.A
The Ukulele plays the soprano part, the alto guitar plays the alto, and some tenor parts, and the baritone guitar plays the ranges of Baritone and some bass parts. The bass lines are performed on a real bass, my beloved Squier vi that I have used for years, or with a synth sound using the baritone guitar.
It’s essential to avoid clashing frequencies at all costs, and it renders a much better overall mix and blend.

Full Spectrum of Music: Different Ranges of Instruments in Cat Tax

One of the key aspects of the music in “Cat Tax” is the combination of instruments with different ranges. By including an electric tenor ukulele, a 3/4 guitar, and a custom baritone guitar, I could cover the full spectrum of music, creating a bass, tenor, alto, and soprano instrument lineup.
The Key to “Cat Tax’s” Layered Sound
The electric tenor ukulele provides a unique, bright, airy sound and a deeper resonance that gives the melody a sense of weight and depth. The 3/4 guitar, tuned a fourth higher than standard tuning, adds a driving rhythm that propels the song forward and gives it a sense of urgency. And the custom baritone guitar, tuned a fifth lower than standard tuning, adds a deep and rich bass line that ties everything together.
With this combination of instruments, I could create a complex and layered sound capable of expressing various emotions and moods. The bass and baritone guitars provide a solid foundation, while the tenor ukulele and 3/4 guitar provide melody and rhythm.
And because each instrument occupies a different part of the frequency spectrum, there is no clashing or competition between them – they all work together in harmony.

When I was 16, I wrote the main riff for my song Yeehaw. Years later, when I got my home studio in France, I started recording my old arrangements and stumbled upon that riff again. I recorded it as a joke and wrote the melody on the fly, but things got serious at the solo part, and I started considering the song in another light. It’s quite a good song that mysteriously got a steady beat of listeners since I published it.
>>> Yeehaw <<<
I published Yeehaw In 2022, but I recorded it back in 2017. It was first intended to be sold on copyright-free content portals, but that business form vanished. So, I decided to release all the good tracks I produced for this project, and 4 of my albums are music from this work.
Strangely, this song, Yeehaw, received quite a good amount of traffic on Spotify, considering it’s instrumental, and I didn’t have any promotion.
While listening to my music to make a playlist to promote that curious song, I discovered that country rock is a big part of my style. I always thought I was a jazz fusion or progressive rock musician, but finally, many of my songs have this country rock feel in the guitar playing.

Hervé Senni – Composer, Arranger, Multi-Instrumentalist, Producer, and Video maker
Part 1- The Composer

Hello! My name is Hervé Senni, and I am a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and video maker. I have been involved in music for as long as I can remember. Even before I picked up an instrument, I used to compose music by ear on my grandmother’s piano.
I would locate myself on the piano thanks to the letters of the piano brand and could only play before the mark. But luckily, it was a brand with an extended name, which allowed me a wide choice of notes. lol
>>>Hervé Senni Spotify <<<
Once I started playing the guitar, I began to write music, even though I knew little about music theory. I wrote everything in 8 notes and 4/4, and I still have two huge piles of notes and charts that are hardly readable, full of “ideas,” riffs, and parts of songs that I might try to go through sooner or later.
In 1982, at 21, I started to write complete and effective music, and I have never stopped since. Over the years, I have honed my skills as a composer, arranger, and producer, working with various instruments and styles to create unique and compelling music.
I have 145 songs published and available for free on Spotify and many more unreleased pieces waiting in the wings. It’s hard to say how many more are hiding in the piles of notes and charts, but I’m excited to continue creating and sharing my music with the world.
>>> Catalog of my published songs <<<
In addition to my work as a composer, I’m also a video maker, and I love to create visually stunning and compelling music videos to accompany my music. Whether through music or video, my goal is to create art that inspires and connects with people on a deep level.

Awareness Campaign
This is a transcript of a chat I had with a marketing expert at Facebook Meta.
I will test this technic for my release and let you know.
What he told me is the opposite of what I learned to do far in various marketing courses… Since my success is average, trying something different is a good idea.
I’ll update this article after the campaign’s over.
Awareness Campaign – How To
This campaign is the best objective to get in front of as many people as possible for as low a cost. This treatment optimizes Reach, maximizing the number of impressions your ads receive. You can create this campaign in Ads Manager, where you can find the step-by-step process here: Steps By Steps.
During the setup process, use strong interests in the targeting to cut out some excess spending and focus on people more likely to respond to your ad.
Typically we recommend an audience between 2 and 10 million as more or less could affect performance. Here are some other best practices for detailed targeting
To help you get the most out of your results, select Reach as the optimization for ad delivery.
You want to select Automatic Placements/FB/IG/Messenger/Audience Network for placements. This will allow your ad to be shown across these specific platforms.
For this objective, the budget recommendation is $200 for a 28-day ad and $50 for a 7-day ad. The recommended budget will allow your campaign to run at scale.
This lifetime budget should be spent over a minimum of 7 days and up to 28 days.
Do note that if the ad runs over 14 days, we recommend that you change the creative to keep the ad fresh!
Set your campaign duration to what best fits your business’s needs.
I recommend using a video for the creative as it has proven more engaging than a still image. Videos optimized for mobile are recommended as most will see them on their phones. Easy-to-follow video guides, downloadable planning briefs, and creative app recommendations to get you started with the Facebook Mobile Studio.
Lastly, I wanted to mention text usage within ads. We highly recommend keeping your text down to 2 or 3 lines as most users will not click upon the “Read More” button that appears once you go passed this limit. We recommend keeping your text short and straight to the point.
I also recommend that during holidays and seasonal moments, such as sales, you increase your typical budget by 25% to keep up with the competitive market around those times.
