No One Online is my first song featuring the fantastic plugin Vocaloid.
Vocaloid, as its name implies, is a vocal program that allows the production of vocal parts. It programs itself in midi and works like a charm. Why is this plugin not more popular than it is?
I used it to render the multipart vocal of the song. It’s a two-part harmony.
The song is driven by a busy bassline performed on my Ubass. It sounds like a cross between a double bass and a tuba.
Finally, the guitar is tuned in minor third: C Eb Gb A C Eb—the difference in tuning forces me to play differently.
The solo is performed on my electric custom ukulele, which I used in the famous song “Jumping Fleas.” The solo has two parts: the first part uses a lead sound, while the second part uses a synth sound via my Boss SY1000.

Here are the lyrics of the song.
No one Online
There is no one online
there is no one to talk to
There is no one online
there is no one to talk to
Chat rooms are dead
Chat rooms are dead
Chat rooms are dead
with no human around
There is no one online
there is no one to talk to
There is no one online
there is no one to talk to
I’ve been waiting for nothing
I better go alone
I’ve been waiting for nothing
I better go alone
There’s no one online
only scam and adds
There’s no one online
only scam and adds
virtual world online
There are more bots than lads
There is no one online
there is no one to talk to
There is no one online
there is no one to talk to
Chat rooms are dead
Chat rooms are dead
Chat rooms are dead
With no human around
There is no one online
there is no one to talk to
There is no one online
there is no one to talk to
