Recent News
The Youtube channel is slow now. Not only the YT channel but guitar building as well as music production.
The reasons are:
First: I am building a new workplace. Unfortunately, dealing with a Thai owner makes things slow and the end date unknown.
Second: After working non-stop for the last year of my channel and my music, I am in a lazy mood where I sleep, go to the gym, and smoke weed.
Therefore:
- I don’t feel like working
- I don’t remember what I wanted to talk about
- I’m too stoned. It shows on camera
- According to the micro-incomes I made last year, it makes no difference whether I work or not
The workplace, why?
When I started building and modifying guitars, I was a living-room luthier. Then, I evolved from a kitchen luthier to a dusty attic luthier. I made around 100 guitars and countless custom guitar electronics during that period.
Moving to Thailand
When I moved, I only took 3 guitars with me, my mooer GE300 and 2 laptops. I left all my guitars and tools in France in my parent’s attic.
Having decided to settle in Thailand for good, and my parents had sold the family home, I imported all of my equipment in two installments.
Last year
Every time I had to fix a guitar, I had to look for my tools everywhere, stored in different boxes. And then for a spot to work. Iron table, steps… Finally, I was fed up with this situation.
The growth of my Youtube channel and the fact that I finally found the house of my dreams decided me to build a workshop. The workshop I never had.

0 The A Team is dead, long live the Hate Team!!!!
I was working on a new hyperfollow page @distrokid to promote The A Team playlist. Of course, The A-Team name was not available; instead of playing around with numbers or weird spelling, I decided to use humor and play on words.
My sick mind rapidly found to fit a Hate in there. It was free; here we go. It sounds metal! Yeah!!! I need to take selfies making satanic gestures.
“The A Team” became “The Hate Team”
No particular anger against anybody. I am a cool dude in general. I just thought the aggressive sounding fits well with the music style.

The Hate Team: Virtual Band N°1
The Hate Team project is based on the new direction in music. I decided to regroup different instruments by range and blend and limit the number of effects on each instrument to create a group sound.
I’m forcing myself to play with a different mindset:
- Aggressive and outspoken for the leader on metal electric Tenor Ukulele
- Melodic and aerial for the second guitar player
- Rude and in your face for the baritone guitar player

0 Here Come The Guns
This is my latest single. It is an exerpt from my virtual band project : All-fifths Lineup.
All instruments in this coming project are tuned in fifth, hence the name All-fifths Lineup. In this song, the guitar used is tuned in perfect fitfh from F1 to E4.

0 Bari Bust Is Out
Bari Bust is the second single of the A-team Project. The song feature the barithone guitar that I built years ago.
I performed the bass line using my solid-body Ubass sporting Kalla strings. This is a remix of the version I released months ago. I changed the drum sound and mix.
It is an awsome instrument, tuned in A. The tuning is the same as a guitar a fifth lower. Or like the tuning of the guitar at the fith frets an octave lower.
So tuning is: A1, D2,G2,C3,E3, A3

0 The Snake
I made this guitar in France in 2019 in my parents’ attic using a Thomann kit. I moved to Thailand soon after. I barely played it a few times.
I only kept the wood and a few bits of plastic from the kit. The rest is from various sources, and although the basic kit is inexpensive, the total cost of the instrument is a bit higher.
My guitar arsenal dried there for almost two years until a mover took care of it.
I first intended to sell this guitar. It was the result of all my best and tested techniques of strat building. I also included my fabric technique, which consists of encrusting fabric on wood using epoxy. I love the result of it. The Snake is one of my best releases so far.
It looks good, but it plays well also.
I have the best hardware and set of pickup ever.

0 The A-Team
The virtual Band concept is a new approach to writing, playing, and producing music.
I am a guitar luthier and avid guitar collector. I have built 100s of string instruments and modified many time all of them. After that, I became an advanced electric guitar builder, especially in guitar electronics. I have created those instruments to try every electronic modification possible with string instruments.
Customs Guitars
I started with custom strats, then guitars in kits, testing every possible pickup’s wirings each time. As a result, each instrument has been modified many times. After modifying tons of Stratocasters and guitars of all types, I became an electronic builder of advanced Stratocaster pickguards. I sold tons of them on eBay France, Reverb.com, and my sites. Finally, the difference in wirings is not enough to make a considerable difference in how you play the guitar.
Search for new sounds
So, my search for new sounds on the six strings turned to an end. I tested everything. I could spot many different wirings that sound cool, Wiring that makes a difference. But, the difference in sound wasn’t enough to sound and play differently.
I tested every possible pickups wiring on countless strats or Les Paul. It sounds closely the same.
The most crucial part of the electric guitar sound is the effects
The real difference in playing comes with different instruments and different tunings. My search for a new way to play led me to explore all the stringed instruments I could find for sale. So I bought a bunch of every instrument with strings I could find.
I modified them all, of course. I even used their measurements to make an electric solid-body version of it.
Mandolins
I started to experiment with mandolins. Right away, the tuning in open fifth seduced me. Learning the mandolin and finding cool licks and patterns on this new instrument made me discover that playing with different tunings forces me to play differently.
I experimented with every string instrument I could find—mandolin of all types, as well as Ukulele tenor and bass. Mandola and mandocello, Irish Bouzouki and Saz Baglama.
To use all those instruments in music production on my albums is difficult. You either use too much of them, and your albums will sound like a greatest hit of various groups, or you always use the same three or four guitars, and your music sounds the same.
New Instrument
At first, I created songs on the fly. Every time I had a new instrument, I included it in a new piece. If the new guitar was an excellent instrument, I used it as the main instrument for a while. Otherwise, it was standing on the stand, heading up to a new electronic from space on a new guitar.
So for a time, I was building guitars more than playing.
Because of the new hybrid instruments included in my arsenal, I discovered a new way of playing. Instead of using the latest built, I decided to create virtual bands based on the best blends of instruments.
Virtual Band N°1: The A-Team
The virtual band N°1 is based on a lineup of instruments tuned in open A. thus, the name.
- Tenor Ukulele with a low G string in Open A
- 3/4 guitar tuned in Open A
- Barytone guitar tuned in Open A an octave lower
- UBass – Solid-body ukulele bass tuned in regular bass tuning
I reviewed all the instruments of that lineup on my Youtube Channel.
Each of those review videos owns original songs. I produced them featuring a single instrument each time to ear the tone and possibilities. I am using a regular electric synth guitar to complete the lineup, employing the Boss SY1000 for orchestral parts and synth leads, for that matter.
Recording those songs, I discovered a blend of instruments in my collection that are perfectly compatible in tone and, most importantly, range. But, more than having a perfect combination of instruments, I had the idea to also make a unique personality for each Player of the virtual Band.

Tenor Ukulele
The lead Player of the group is the Tenor Ukulele player. He has a flamboyant and crazy personality. He uses extreme bends and crazy, loud, really fast solos in the extreme high register, slandering of sustain, and monstrous sound.
He has two sounds: Monstrous and more monstrous. He is the virtuoso of the group searching for attention.

The 3/4 guitar
The 3/4 guitar is the harmony guy of the group. The guy likes to play nice ringing chords in clean or creamy mellow crunchy sound with a jazzy feeling.
In the group, he is in charge of the harmony parts. His style is more melodic and straightforward. A transparent and melancholy personality. A moody guy.

Baritone guitar
He is the metal head of the group, in love with low riffs with monster sound. He is also a progressive fan and likes big riffs in polyrhythms. He plays a lot of combined riffs with the 3/4 guitar.

Ubass
The Ubass Player uses a felt pick to have a fat finger-like sound and play fast. He is mixing funky riff with muted notes with low, fat bass sounds using a C4 Synth pedal from SourceAudio. He is playing more fundamental and groovy bass lines, leaving the place to the drummer.

Drum
I always use the same real drummer from the same bank with the same drum sound and mastering. I am using the Ezdrummer plugin with various midi banks bought from multiple sources for the drum parts. Mainly from the plugin site.
Group Sound
I’m using two or three sounds for each instrument in every song to create unity. I do that on purpose. I make a band with different players with a distinct overall sound, personality, and way of playing.
Why
When producing music in studio, you can overdub (record) yourself multiple times, with the same guitar and playing approach.
Or you can create a virtual band where each part is also a different virtual person.
Suppose you do the first one. You will sound like a guy playing with a multitrack in his room. If you do the second one, you have a big chance to sound like a group.
The advantage is that it forces me to play with different aspects of my personality instead of my natural self. The result is richer and produces more original music.

0 Mahalo – Hervé Senni Album availbale in Streaming
Mahalo is the latest Hervé Senni Album available in Streaming, distributed by BoitaKK Prod.
The virtual CD features the latest songs he wrote for the soundtrack business he was involved in, in 2017/2018.
Mahalo features a collection of songs in different music styles.
- Ambibella: Ambiance song using distorted guitar to play a simple repetitive melody over an atmospheric synth background. The distorted guitar does not render an aggressive mood to the music. The heavy sound is softened with a spatial delay.
- Mahalo: Overdub of various string instruments such as mandolin, mandola, Ukulele, Ubass, Irish bouzouki.
- Cool Picking and Resonator: this trio tune features a backing track with an acoustic guitar in fingerpicking and bass, accompanying a guitar solo performed on a resonator guitar.
- Caribbean: was written a while ago. It was sleeping into a folder under the shape of music sheets. The arrangement was recorded as it was written, performing every part using different instruments. A nice jazzy solo was improvised. The accordion part was recorded using a guitar synth.
- Folk: an acoustic guitar duo. Improvised solo played on a cherished chord progression used in many of his songs.
- Arpeggio Suite: Another old partition that was recorded as it was written years ago for the intro. The classical part. Senni had the idea to make two new different versions using electric guitars and modern background. The three bit chained together are making a pleasant musical crescendo.
- Reverie: is another orchestral work recorded using symphonic applications. It was performed on the keyboard and corrected in midi.
- Cool Picking Wah Resonator: The same background as the first version, but the lead is different. Instead of using a resonator guitar with a clean sound, he used the same resonator with a wah effect.
- Blues: is a medium swing nylon guitar duo in a blues in F.
- Uke: is an upbeat song featuring an electric and acoustic ukulele and an electric guitar playing a counter melody using a bottleneck.
- Up Sweep: is another song with an upbeat tempo using various strings instruments. Acoustic guitar, Ukulele, synth guitar, and an electric guitar using a bottleneck. It has a refreshing and positive feeling.
- Yeehaw: is an old country and western written years ago in the 80s as a joke. It is hilarious and will be used as a song with lyrics on his oncoming album where he sings in Thaï. Nice and demanding guitar solo played on a custom-built telecaster that was quite challenging to perform.

0 Galaxy Drop – Latest Hervé Senni album
Galaxy Drop is the latest Hervé Senni album featuring 12 new songs.
I recorded those songs during the copyright-free era. They were on sale on sites such as Pond5, Productiontrax (no longer alive), and many more.
That business didn’t last long, and most of those sites are no longer alive today. That business was killed mostly by Youtube, which started to offers zillions of free copyright free backing tracks. Why paying when you can get the same thing for free?
I wasn’t pleased to lose control of my music and maybe have it used to back up corny videos.
Plus Sacem, ( my copyright agency) was totally against it.
This album is one of many I released featuring the best tracks that you can listen to as a real song, without lacking the image.
I regrouped them by style to have some continuity on each album. Galaxy Drop is the penultimate album sporting my copyright music work.
I dig it. I mixed various music types in that album: Nu jazz songs such as Green Bag, Mighty and Slow Motion. Afro songs such as Dholak, African night, and Kassa Ni Soro, and electro-jazz with Jungle.
I also interpreted old songs of mine such as Hypnotic Pyramid, Nostalgia, and Quaie des Brunes.
Nostalgia is a song I wrote when I was 20 years old. It is a vast Gymnopedie’s Influence by Erik Satie. Quaie des Brunes is one of my favorite themes that I enjoy interpreting in every possible music style. The one featured on this album is finally the original bossa nova music style I used to write the song in 2000.
Lastly, I included two songs featuring the citar guitar I built. Galaxy drops the main title and Senntar the guitar name.
Like every one of my albums, I performed every instrument except the drums. I’m using an app using drum loops played by real drummers and using authentic drum sounds for the drum part. I never used the quantize function on any of my tracks. I don’t even know how to use it.
